Discussion on the Transformation from “Want Me to Learn” to “I Want to Learn” in English learnin 　　With the reform and opening up and internationalization， English has become the main language of international communication， and more and more people pay great attention to English learning. However， in the actual learning process， many students are lack of interest in English learning.In this paper， I take my personal experience as an example to discusses how to cultivate the interest of English learning and to improve the efficiency of English learning， as a result， to realize the change from “want me to learn” to “I want to learn”. 　　Firstly， explore learning skills to improve learning efficiency 　　Many students always have difficulty in reading， writing， listening and speaking. At first， I also had the same difficulties. However， after a period of thinking and reflection， I found that if we can find the rules of it， we can learn it much easier. For example， during the process of learning vocabulary， I find some useful learning methods： 　　a. Recite words according to the pronunciation 　　In English， most of the words follow the rule of pronunciation. For these words， we can recite the pronunciation firstly and try to spell the words according to the pronunciation. 　　b. Recite words according to the root 　　Many complex English words are made up of root and affix. For these words， we only need to remember the root and try to learn the related new words with the help of the root. 　　c. Recite words with associative memory 　　In English， many words are similar or opposite in pronunciation， spelling or meaning.For these words， with the method of associative memory， we can recite several related words at one time. 　　In a word， Discovering the rules of English learning can make our study easy and efficient. 　　Secondly， try to learn English with active attitude 　　Once， I took English learning as a torture and took passive attitude to it.
