The traditional festivals of country reveal the differences of human life style, local culture and customers, and religion belief and so on. The Chinese and western culture are different, which is reflected by the traditional festivals. First, from the origin of festivals, Chinese festivals were mostly formed and influenced by seasons which are colored with agricultures. The western festivals are related with to religion. Second, from the means of celebrating, Chinese usually prepare for a variety of food to celebrate the traditional festivals. By the way of celebrating, Chinese people hope that they will have a bright and healthy life in the future. However, in America, religion plays a very important role in people’s life. Westerners usually take part in enjoyment activities to celebrate their festivals. Culture is correlated with people’s daily life, customers and habits. Different countries have different traditional festivals as a result of various life habits, natural conditions and human factors. However, in modern times, with the development of globalization and the increasing culture exchange between different countries, many festivals are celebrated by people all over the world. Chinese and western traditional festivals have fond people’s way into our everyday life, and have gained increasing popularity each other.
