A list of a job’s duties, responsibilities, reporting relationships, working conditions, and supervisory responsibilities—one product of a job analysis. A list of a job’s “human requirements,” that is, the requisite education, skills, personality, and so on—another product of a job analysis. On the basis of its estimate of total revenue, managers can attempt to establish the number and mix of employees needed to reach that revenue. Managers should estimate HR shortages - both in number and in type- and to highlight areas in which the organization will be understaffed or overstaffed.
