Methods 178 kinds prices of the exactly same commonly utilized essential drugs which.had the same factory ,same specification, and same dosage form on townships health center and retail pharmacies respectively in Guizhou were utilized the excel for statistical description. The purchase price and sales price of the same basic drug which were both in townships health center and drug retail pharmacies had significantly test by the wilcoxon signed-rank. Results In townships health center, the average purchase price of essential drugs was higher than that of the retail pharmacies, while the average selling price was lower than that of the retail drugstore.
