C9 – 5 範文 It was a lovely day with a clear blue sky, so Andy and Michelle decided to go on a day trip. They talked about where to go on their excursion and Andy decided to take Michelle to a lovely place he knew up in the mountains. They set off along the winding road which led to the majestic mountains and as they drove along they enjoyed the magnificent scenery which surrounded them. The panoramic view of the overlapping mountains was stunning. After about an hour they arrived at their destination, a clearing surrounded by majestic mountains and lush green hills. They got a blanket out of the car and placed it on the grass. Then they sat down on the blanket and took out some delicious fresh sandwiches and sparkling water. They immediately felt that the relaxing day would ease the pressure of the busy week they had just finished. It was spring so the flowers were in full bloom. They were just admiring the spectacular blossoms on the trees when suddenly they heard a chirping sound. They quickly looked around and saw a bird perched on the branch of a nearby tree. Michelle threw some of her bread onto the grass and to her amazement and delight, the bird came closer to them and pecked at the bread crumbs. Then some more birds came hopping along and Andy and Michelle marveled at their bright colors and pretty singing. After Michelle and Andy had finished chatting and eating they lay back on the blanket and enjoyed the gentle breeze as it cooled their warm skin. The only sound to disturb the tranquility was the buzz of cicadas and the twitter of the birds.
