Seed Project We want to be channels of Gods love to people in our community. The passage of Psalms 73.27 , Im in the very presence of God - oh, how refreshing it is! inspired our prayer group of Camelback Bible Church to bring Gods refreshing presence to our new friends in our community. We understand that its Gods intention to refresh people who are weary and all of us need rest. This initiative is intended to bring Gods favor into the social and physical areas of our lives. Seed Project The project started with a housewarming that Kim, a member of our prayer group, organized for a Muslim Iranian lady, Zahra. Zahra’s husband, David, is a limo driver, and they donated a limo ride in a game with the participants in that housewarming. Elly won the limo ride and donated it for a seed project to be done in the future. David’s limo in front of their house A limo and a wedding Essie, a friend from CBC, will get married soon and will move to Hawaii. The opportunity to say “goodbye” to Essie made us think about those who she cares, as for example, Makas family, a Muslim Somali family of refugees with 5 children. We decided to give them a limo ride and do a picnic together on a Sunday afternoon. David and Essie loaded the limo with goodies for the picnic How did we handle difficulties? We prayed and planned this project for 4 months. But it was 2 days before the picnic that we knew that we should have reserved a ramada with a table to stay under the shade. When we called the park, they were already booked and there were no ramadas left. We trusted God. Part of the seed project was not to be stressed during the preparation. Two hours before the picnic, Jill called Elly to let her know that she could go earlier to the park and pick up a place. So she did. Among all the trees, Jill chose one and spread a cover where we could sit. It didn’t take long and the family that was using the ramada next to that tree left for the day…leaving for us a ramada that would
