He was born in Morrisonville, Virginia on August 14, 1925. He is a famous columnist in American. He also is an outstanding essay writer. In 1983, Baker received his second Pulitzer Prize for his autobiography Growing up. The author After his father’s death in 1930,Baker moved with his mother to Baltimore,Maryland.Upon completing high school at baltimore’scity college,Baker study at Johns Hopkins University,but left the university after one year to serve in the Navy;he returned to Johns Hopkinsat the end of Word War II and graduated and received his B.A. in 1947.
