It is required in the New Syllabuses that junior students should develop reading skills to read for information, to read for language knowledge and to read for pleasure. Grade 7 students are supposed to achieve 4-graded objectives in the aspect of reading skills proposed in the New Syllabuses. ? Target material All the students are very interested in blockbusters, stars or science life .By reading these articles can we make the students enlarge the number of words and learn about the background of English language. At the same time , we can develop the reading skills of the students. Academic level Grade 7 students, active in thinking and curious about everything, They are very familiar with the topic. They have the ability to communicate with each other about the target material, but they still have some difficulty expressing their own thoughts. Therefore, I can stimulate the Ss’ interest in these articles, and they will be motivated to accept the challenge to learn and use language to achieve these goals.
