Inversion
1.教材分析(analysis of teaching material)
In the two reading passages, the Ss have learned some sentences using the inversion. So in this lesson, the teacher will get the Ss to understand this grammatical structure so as to understand the readings better.
2.学情分析(analysis of students)
In the process of learning English, Ss have learned some sentences using the inversion. So the
teacher can use some common sentences to lead in.
3.教学目标(Teaching aims)
知识目标(Knowledge aims)
Enable students to learn how to use the inversion.
能力目标(Ability aims)
Get the students to understand and sum up the grammatical points. Meanwhile try to master these rules.
情感目标(Emotion aims)
a. Get Ss to become interested in grammar learning.
b. Develop Ss’ sense of group cooperation.
4.教学重点和难点(teaching important points and difficult points)
Enable students to master the structures of inversion and let Ss try to learn how to use the inversion correctly.

Task 2: Present the usages of inversion.
部分倒装(七种)
(1). 疑问句
eg. Have you seen the film?
注意:如疑问词在句中做主语,则用自然语序。
eg. Who is your sister?
What is our work?
(2). so/such…that的so/such位于句首时
eg. So proud was he that he never listened to my advice.
Such a clever boy is he that everyone likes him.
(3). 否定意义的副词或短语位于句首时,常见的有:in no way(绝不), in no case(无论如何都不), never, little, seldom, not only…but also, hardly…when, no sooner…than,
scarcely…when, not until等。
注意:①当not until引出主从复合句,主句倒装,从句不倒装。
eg. Not until then did I realize I was wrong.
Not until the teacher came did he finish his homework.
②not only…but also连接两个分句时,第一个分句倒装,第二个不倒装;若置于句首仅连接两个并列短语,无须倒装。
