BOL D-fM RI w as pe rfo rmed under no stimulatio n and the status of electro-acupunc ture double-side po ints Shenmen and Sany injiao stimula tion , respectively. T he activa tion of cerebral functio nal areas of the tw o g roups w ere o bserv ed. T he data w ere statistically analy zed with o ne sample t te st in a ba sic model o f SP M .Results　T he insula area (BA13)was acti- v ated in bo th g ro ups.But in the insomnia group, the right tha lamus (v entral anterio r nucleus), the right putamen , the lef t medial g lobus pallidus, the left precent ral g y rus (BA 9), bilateral head of caudate nucleus were specifically activ ated.
