He was an important politician and wrote Utopia which described an ideal society. T: Good. Sir Thomas More was Henry VIII of England’s chancellor between 1529 and 1532. He was executed by Henry for his opposition to the break with the Roman Catholic Church. Utopia was written by Sir Thomas More in 1516.
