Methods 1991-2003 1 surgery in our hospital 523 cases of non- small cell lung cancer retrospective clinical analysis. Conclusion staging factors, especially the N factors and pathological types are the most important prognostic factors, in particular the comprehensive treatment of neoadjuvant chemotherapy have a new prospect. [Keywords:] lung cancer, surgery, prognosis Abstract: Objective To conclude relative factors that influence prognosis in order to standardize the treatment and improve the therapeutic effect of surgery on primary non-small cell lung cancer. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed according to clinical data on 1523 patients with primary non-small cell lung cancer undergoing operation in Liaoning Tumor Hospital between Aug. 1991and Aug. 2003, and 5-year survival rate was calculated by Kaplan-Meier method.Results Over all 5-year survival rate was as follows: stage I 55.03%, II 41.24 %, III 19.23%, IV 4.36% and N0 49.97%, N1 23.18%, N2 18.44%, N3 0%.
