Methods: 300 patients with AMI patients (AMI group ) and 415 cases of non-coronary heart disease (control group) as the object of study, polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) method for detection of ALOX5AP gene SG13S114T / A polymorphism. Results: (1) control group, AMI patients with TT and AT were significantly increased gene frequency, and frequency distribution are statistically significant (P = 0.027,0.032); T allele frequency distribution of the difference was not statistically significant (59.50% and 64.82 %, P = 0.324). (2) sub-group analysis: male AMI patients with AA, AT, TT genotype and T allele frequencies were not statistically different, and women with the TT genotype correlation between the occurrence of AMI ( P = 0.042). Multiple rows to multiple risk factors ALOX5AP Logistic regression analysis showed that gene SG13S114T / A AT and TT genotypes were closely associated with AMI (P values #8203;#8203;were 0.000,0.001). T allele frequency was statistically significance (P = 0.038). AT and TT genotype and the occurrence of male and female AMI are correlated (males P = 0.010,0.040; female P = 0.010,0.004), T allele and female AMI associated with the occurrence (P = 0.026), while the T allele and the male was no correlation between the occurrence of AMI (P = 0.285). Conclusion: The Han population in Southern China, ALOX5AP gene SG13S114T / A TT and the AT genotype Southern Han population may be susceptible genotype AMI, T allele may be important genetic disease AMI risk factors and the incidence of AMI and women correlated.
