Methods of health education during hospitalization received 579 cases of mental patients discharged from hospital after 6 mo using self-designed ‘survey of health education’ to pay a return visit. The results of health education during hospitalization in patients with the overall results are remarkable, but there are still some patients with poor grasp of the knowledge of health and can not follow the health advice, does not achieve the desired results. 63.2% of them did not know how to recognize symptoms of disease relapse, 60.6% did not know if the medication dosage and effects, 53.4% did not know that they have unhealthy behaviors. Conclusion The use of universal education should be combined with the personalized, and extends to families and communities, a square is conducive to the rehabilitation of patients.
