Methods to animals orally administered with CCl4, D-galactose production of acute liver injury model, determined by colorimetric analysis of serum days aspartate aminotransferase (aspartate transaminase, ALT), alanine aminotransferase (alanine transaminase, AST) activity were measured in serum superoxide dismutase (superoxide dismutase, SOD), glutathione peroxidase (glutathione perioxidase, GSH-Px) activity and MDA (malondialdehyde, MDA) content. Results baicalin significantly reduced by CCl4, D-galactose-induced acute liver injury induced serum ALT, AST increased, acute serum liver injury SOD, GSH-Px activity increased significantly and reduce the MDA content in the role. The activities of aspartate transaminase (AST), alanine transaminase (ALT), superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione perioxidase (GSH-Px); and the content of malondialdehyde (MDA) in serum were investigated using colorimetric method. ResultsBaicalin significantly reduced acute liver injury induced by carton tetrachloride and D-galactoasmine, by means of decreasing ALT and AST in serum; the activities of SOD, GSH-Px in treat group were higher than that of model group and the content of MDA in treat group was lower than that of model group, respectively.ConclusionBaicalin has protective effects on mice with acute hepatic injury induced by carton tetrachloride and D-galactoasmine.
