Methods: To analyze the whole of 2007 in our hospital unreasonable prescriptions and general hospitals with the results of the analysis were compared. Results: The Electronic prescribing a high proportion of typographical errors is a common feature of all hospitals, while the amount of typographical error in the presence of a large number of pediatric hospital-specific phenomenon. Conclusion: The Children’s Hospital should adopt scientific ways of reducing the amount of input errors. Hospital information system usage restrictions embedded in the module can automatically interference of electronic prescriptions for typographical errors, promote the rational use of medicines. Methods: The unreasonable prescriptions in our hospital in the year of 2007 were analyzed and a comparison with the data of other two comprehensive hospitals was made. Results: There was a high electronic prescription error rate in all the investigated hospitals and the dosage error was a characteristic of pediatric hospital. Conclusions: It is necessary to use some modern methods to reduce the dosage error rate in pediatric hospital.
