 PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 12 Clinical application of endoscopic sinus surgery [Abstract] Objective To investigate the endoscopic sinus surgery for chronic sinusitis and nasal polyps in patients. Methods 130 cases in 2003-2008 made a clinical analysis of endoscopic sinus surgery, including functional endoscopic sinus surgery in 107 cases , Endoscopic adenoidectomy in 9 cases, submucosal nasal septum deviation surgery, 6 cases of sinonasal inverted papilloma resection in 3 cases, resection of mycotic 2 cases of maxillary sinusitis, maxillary sinus cyst resection in 2 cases, 1 case of nasopharyngeal tumors. The results were followed up for 3 to 6 months, 130 cases of endoscopic sinus surgery in 129 patients were cured (99%), improved in 1 case (1%), total rate was 100%. Conclusion endoscopic sinus surgery is the treatment of chronic sinusitis, nasal polyps and effective method of surgical treatment for sinus disease and the nature, extent, severity, and select the appropriate surgical procedures are very closely related. Method To show the clinical analysis of 130 nasendoscopy operations performed from the year 2003 to 2008, including 107 cases about functional nasendoscopy operations on nasal sinus, 9 cases about adenoid resection operations using nasendoscopy, 6 cases about redressement on deviation of nasal septum, 3 cases about enstrophe papillary epithelioma resection operations on nasal sinus and nasal cavity, 2 cases about mycotic genyantritis resection operations, 2 cases about cyst resection operations on antrum highmori and 1 case about tumour resection operation on pharynx nasalis.Results The follow-up visits paid 3 - 6 months after the operations show the total effective rate of 130 cases about nasendoscopy operations is 100%, including the recovered
