Methods ligating the left anterior descending coronary artery (LAD) caused by acute myocardial ischemia model to observe the water extract of Cordyceps (Water extract from cultural mycelium, WE), alcohol extract (Ethanal extract from cultural mycelium, EE), ethyl acetate extract (Ethyl acetate extract from cultural mycelium, EA) and petroleum ether extracts (Petroleum ether extract from cultural mycelium, PE) on myocardial infarct size (MIS), serum phosphate creatine kinase (CK-MB) , lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), malondialdehyde (MDA), nitric oxide (NO), nitric oxide synthase (NOS) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) impact. The results WE, EE, and PE can significantly reduce the MIS, reduced CK-MB and LDH activity, reduced MDA content, increased NO levels, improve NOS and SOD activity. Conclusion WE, EE, and PE has a protective effect on ischemic myocardium and its mechanism of WE, EE, and PE improve NOS and SOD activity in order to expand coronary artery and anti-lipid peroxidation.
