Results 36 cases of liver abscess in patients with percutaneous catheter drainage in the treatment, the clinical symptoms disappeared, no complications, the B-type ultrasound or CT review abscess disappeared, all cured. Conclusions CT-guided percutaneous abscess drainage puncture is a simple, minimally invasive, low cost of hospitalization, more effective, etc., is an effective clinical treatment methods of liver abscess one. [Keywords:] CT enhanced scan; liver abscess; non-vascular interventional techniques; tube drainage Abstract Objective To study the curative effect and clinical application value of percutaneous puncture and catheter drainage under CT guidance in treating liver abscess.Methods 36 cases with liver abscess clearly diagnosed clinically and conformed by lab tests and imaging examinations received percutaneous puncture and catheter drainage under CT guidance, and regular tube douching and antibiotic treatment were applied after operation.Result After operation, the clinical symptoms in the 36 cases all disappeared, no complications occurred; ultrasound or CT review showed all cases fully recovered. Conclusions Percutaneous puncture and catheter drainage under CT guidance in treating liver abscess is of such advantages as: simple operation, small surgical wound, lower expenses of hospitalization and confirmed curative effect, it is one of the effective methods in clinic to treat abscess.
