Methods hot plate, light radiant heat tail flick and acetic acid writhing method to observe the analgesic effect of Dragon’s Blood. And in acute isolated bullfrog sciatic nerve and observed the Dragon’s Blood on the sciatic nerve action potential amplitude, refractory period and conduction velocity. The results could significantly prolong the Dragon’s Blood licking, tail flick reaction time, the pain threshold and reduce the acetic acid writhing number; bullfrog sciatic nerve dropping Dragon’s Blood, the nerve action potential amplitude decreased dry and should not be prolonged, conduction velocity. Conclusions of Dragon’s Blood has significant analgesic effects, and can block nerve conduction. In the acute isolated bullfrog sciatic nerve, the amplitude, conductivity and refractory period of the action potential were also observed respectively after administration.ResultsDragon ‘s Blood markedly prolonged the latencies of licking paws and flicking tail, reduced the number of writhing. In the presence of Dragon’s Blood, the action potential amplitude of the bullfrog sciatic nerve was decreased, the conduction velocity was slowered and the refractory period was delayed.ConclusionDragon ‘s Blood has prominent analgesic effect and can block the nerve conduction.
