Methods A retrospective analysis from January 2004 ~ January 2007, 30 patients with femoral neck fracture in the north suburb of Beijing Cancer Hospital , Beijing Luhe Hospital for hemiarthroplasty of the clinical data. Results 30 patients were followed up for at least 12 to 36 months, with an average follow-up of 21 months. Function evaluation by HARRIS hip score criteria: excellent in 18 cases, good in 8 cases, 2 cases and poor in 2 cases, 1 death in the short term, no prosthesis loosening, subsidence. Conclusions of femoral neck fractures hip hemiarthroplasty reconstruction function, can significantly reduce hip pain, improve function, reduce complications and improve survival. [Keywords:] Aged, femoral neck fracture Arthroplasty, Replacement, Hip [Abstract] Objective To summarize the effects of bipolar femoral head arthroplasty in old patients with femoral neck fracture.Methods The complete data of 30 patients with femoral neck fracture treated with bipolar femoral head arthroplasty were reviewed.Results All patients were followed up for 12 months to 36 months.Among the patients, 26 had excellent or good result according HARRIS hip score.There was no infection, loosening and subsidence.Conclusion Hip hemiarthroplasty is a good treatment method for old patients with femoral neck fracture, especially for old patients with fresh fracture.
