Methods From May 1990 to April 1991, to Guangzhou 9 ~ 14 years a total of 453 school-age children (urban 250, rural 203) per month to take a throat culture times, separation of β-hemolytic streptococci following the introduction of Ranfi group identified a total of 732 out of GAS, GAS using agglutination method for T typing. Results Guangzhou City schoolchildren carry GAS T-type was T6 (20.5%), T4 (12.0%), T12 (10.9%) more common. T-distribution no gender differences (Pgt; 0.05), but there are seasonal differences. The same school in different classes have different T-type distribution. Can not be sub-strain accounted for 13.3%. Conclusions from 1990 to 1991 school-age children in Guangzhou area endemic GAS T-type mainly T6, 4,12 for the more common; different times and in different endemic GAS T-type distribution is different. Their T-type detection rates, T-type epidemics, monthly isolation rates, and isolation rates by sex were analysed epidemiologically.Results Among the children, the most common serotype was T6 (20.5%), followed by T4 (12.0%), and T12 (10.9%).
