Methods of massive allograft bone to repair bone tumor of bone defects after tumor resection in 5 cases, postoperative X-ray and isotope bone scan assessment of bone healing, and to assess their functional recovery. The results after surgery 3 to 6 months, X-ray films showed a strong biological fixation (a strong outer bony callus or connected), 99mTc-MDP bone scan image shows an early allogeneic bone metabolism in active, two years later, gradually returning to normal. Conclusion allogeneic bone half-joint transplantation in the treatment of distal femoral tumors observed after transplantation of bone and autologous bone healing, joint function reconstruction to reach good performance. [Keywords:] allogeneic bone; semi-joint transplantation; bone tumor; limb-salvage surgery [Abstract] Objective To analyse and discuss on using of hemi-articular allograft transplantation in treatment of distal femoral tumor.Methods Hemi-articular allograft transplantation was used in reconstruction for the distal femoral defect after tumor resection in 6 cases.After operation, X - ray and 99mTc-MDP bone imaging were taken to value the bone-healing and functional recovery.Results Three to six months after operation, X-ray showed firm healing (strong external callus or synostosis) .99 mTc-MDP bone imaging showed active bone metabolism in allografts early and resume normal by degree 2 years after operation.Conclusion Bone-healing and reconstruction of joint function is observed after operation by the methods.
