[Method] This group in January 1998 ~ June 2003 admitted to high-energy tibial plateau fracture treatment of 46 cases were studied retrospectively. [Results] 43 patients were followed up 1 ~ 4a, are essential to restore knee function, according to the standard Merchant score, excellent rate of 82.4%. [Conclusion] The high-energy tibial plateau fractures should pay attention to the integrated treatment of peri-operative period. Preoperative level of complexity of the fracture and correct assessment of associated injuries; surgery must be considered associated with soft tissue injury and bone damage, if not completely open reduction and internal fixation, may take a limited incision, indirect reduction, hybrid fixed, an effort to restore joint function, maintain normal force axis as far as possible to ensure joint stability, and close observation of early postoperative limb, to enhance early functional exercise of knee joint to take comprehensive and effective responses, damaged knee function can achieve maximum degree of recovery.
