High-performance liquid chromatography in different areas of the Prunella vulgaris ursolic acid

[Abstract] Objective To establish the Prunella vulgaris by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) analytical method to study the different areas of ursolic acid in Prunella difference. Methods Diamonsil C18 column for the Dumas diamond analytical column (4.6 mm * 250 mm * 5 μ m); mobile phase of 0.04 mol / L sodium dihydrogen phosphate: acetonitrile (volume ratio 20:80); detection wavelength 210nm; column temperature was 35 ℃ . Results of resources from different areas of ursolic acid in medicinal herbs Prunella vulgaris there were obvious differences, of which Sichuan Emei produced the highest content of ursolic acid in Prunella vulgaris, followed by Zhejiang Pan’an production. Conclusion The results can be a different origin for the evaluation of medicinal herbs Prunella quality of bred varieties of Prunella provide the basis for the fine.

Prunella vulgaris contains mainly triterpenoids and their glycosides, sterol and their glycosides, flavonoids, coumarins, organic acids, volatile oil and sugar and other ingredients. With antihypertensive, hypoglycemic, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-allergy and anti-virus and other effects [2,3], in our main produced in Hunan, Anhui, Zhejiang and Jiangsu. In this study, using HPLC method for simultaneous determination of different areas of ursolic acid in Prunella, Prunella by comparing the different areas of quality, reasonable use of the medicinal plant resources and evaluation of the quality of different sources provide the basis for Prunella.
