The mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile  2% HAc under gradient elution during 0-20 min (28-39:72-61). The flow rate was 1.0 mL * min -1 and the detection wavelength 278 nm. Results The average recoveries for harpagosicle and cinnamic acid were 100.4% and 97.2% with RSD 1.27% and 2.36% (n = 6), respectively. Conclusion The method can be used for the quantitative analysis of harpagoside and cinnamic acid in Xuanmaiganjie granula.
