Injection of streptozotocin in mice blood pancreas and somatostatin of ROS

PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 15 Injection of streptozotocin in mice blood pancreas and somatostatin of ROS Of: Shen Hui Wu Li Lizhen application on behalf Kwok Kit Kwok Wai Lok Zhengzhou Yi [Abstract] Objective injection of streptozotocin (STZ) mice with blood sugar, reactive oxygen species (ROS), antioxidant enzymes, insulin (INS) and somatostatin (SS) the changes of ROS and the SS in diabetic ( DM) occurs in the process. Methods mice were injected STZ citrate buffer, respectively, 0,1,3,6,12 and 24 h after injection blood glucose, INS and SS levels, ROS, superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GSH Px) activity and malondialdehyde (MDA). results of whole blood, pancreas, liver ROS began to increase after the injection, respectively, in 6 h, 3 h and 6 h to reach the peak. serum, pancreatic SS at 6 h and 3 h to a minimum value. serum INS levels in 6 h, significantly higher than the time .3 h glucose level was significantly higher than other time points, 6 h significantly reduced. blood, pancreas and liver GSH Px and SOD activity in the injection were significantly decreased, while MDA contents were increased significantly. correlation analysis showed that whole blood, pancreas, ROS, and SS were negatively correlated, while the whole blood ROS and serum INS was significantly correlated. Conclusion STZ produced a large number of SS expression and secretion of ROS damage, the SS protection of pancreatic B cells decreased, and further damage to B cells, INS secretion of abnormal blood glucose change accordingly, ROS damage induced by STZ SS secretion DM produced an important reason. [Keywords:] reactive oxygen species; diabetes; somatostatin; streptozotocin Streptozotocin (STZ) is separated from the antibiotic streptomycin, the methylation of glucose and nitrogen components, structure similar to glucose, glucose transporters through 2 (GLUT2) transport into the cell, thus contain high levels of GLUT2 in pancreatic B cells more susceptible to toxicity
