Methods Clinical data of fourteen cases of female stress incontinence treated with Burch laparoscopy were retrospectively reviewed. Results Mean operation time on Burch laparoscopy was (96.6 + -36.4) min; mean blood loss was (45.3 + -18.2) ml; and two cases of bladder injury occurred during the operation. The procedure was effective in 100% of patients, and 85% (12/14) of the patients completely recovered. Conclusion Burch laparoscopy was effective in treating female stress incontinence, with little trauma and quick recovery.
