Results matrine groups of mice in thymus, spleen and liver index of no significant change (Pgt; 0.05); 5-Fu group of thymus and spleen index were significantly lower (P lt;0.01); matrine +5 -Fu thymus index of mice compared with the control group decreased significantly (P lt;0.01). histopathological light microscope showed that matrine group thymus and spleen atrophy and no apparent damage, no significant liver pathological changes. Conclusion Matrine can antagonize 5-Fu on the spleen of immune suppression, the spleen index increased.
