[Keywords:] micro titer determination; turbidimetric method; plate method; gentamicin sulfate particles [Abstract] Objective To establish a method for the determination of the titer of gentamycin sulfate granules.Methods Turbidimetric method was used to determine the titer of gentamycin sulfate granules and the findings were compared with those detected by diffusion method.Turbidimetric method was subjected to methodology verification subseqently.Results Logarithm of concentration was linear with absorbability and the average recovery rate was 100.3% by using turbidimetric method.There were no significant differences in determination results between turbidimetric method and diffusion method.Methodology verification demonstrated that turbidimetric method was feasible.Conclusion Turbidimetric method is proved to be convenient, accurate and rapid for determination of the titer of gentamycin sulfate granules.
