Methods 15 cases of dissecting aneurysm were carried out multi-slice CT (MSCT) and enhanced thoraco-abdominal plain and raw data in the SGI workstations, multi-planar reconstruction (MPR), shaded surface display (SSD), maximum intensity projection (MIP ) and the volume of processing (VR) and other post-processing. Results 15 cases were a good demonstration of the entire aorta and its branches, true cavity, false lumen, intimal flap, and dissection of the location, extent satisfactory display. Conclusion MSCTA diagnosis of dissecting aneurysm of accurate, quick and effective method of choice for examination, with a high clinical value. Results The whole aorta and branches in 15 patients were displayed well by MSCTA.The true lumen, false lumen, intimal flap, location and extend of dissecting aneurysm were showed in all psatients satisfactorily.Conclusion MSCTA is accurate, fast and effective for the diagnosis of dissecting aneutysm.
