Methods: In our hospital in 2006 38 cases of 43 patients with neovascular glaucoma, a group of conventional ciliary body cryotherapy in 18 eyes, the other with 810nm laser transscleral cyclophotocoagulation for treatment of 25 eyes after handling the same period of observation of patients followed up after 12wk ocular manifestations, visual acuity, intraocular pressure . Results: The ciliary body cooling group 11 eyes (61% cyclophotocoagulation group of 20 eyes (80% after 3mo intraocular pressure stabilized at between 11 ~ 24mmHg in each group before and after the IOP contrast, the difference were highly statistically significant (P = 0.000, compared postoperative IOP between the groups, the difference was not statistically significant (P = 0.669. ciliary body cooling group of 10 eyes (56%), cyclophotocoagulation group of 21 eyes ( 84%) visual acuity preservation, the difference was statistically significant (P = 0.040. 2wk all patients gradually decreased neovascular iris, ciliary condensation patients had significant conjunctival congestion and edema, and facial swelling, eye pain, headache, patients with only mild cyclophotocoagulation mixed conjunctival hyperemia, discredited facial swelling, headache and sore eyes, hyphema. Conclusion: The treatment of neovascular glaucoma, ciliary body cryotherapy and by the ciliary Laser photocoagulation control of the body the exact effect of intraocular pressure, and ciliary body laser photocoagulation surgery with visual preservation rate and few complications, the advantages of less postoperative pain.
