Non-traumatic colorectal perforation of the influencing factors of early mortality
[Abstract] Objective To investigate the non-traumatic colorectal perforation of mortality factors. Methods From 1994 to 2002 in our hospital surgical treatment of non-traumatic colorectal perforation in 62 patients age, sex, perforation reasons, the time of onset of symptoms, preoperative sepsis, accompanied by diseases (including cardiovascular disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), blood dialysis and lipid-lowering therapy, surgery was found (the location and extent of perforation), preoperative laboratory tests (such as white blood cell count and platelet count) were analyzed retrospectively, using univariate and multivariate analysis to study its and the relationship between the clinical outcome. Results 12 patients died, through univariate analysis, the deaths in the group, senior citizens, sepsis, accompanied by the disease, hemodialysis, diffuse peritonitis, preoperative thrombocytopenia high frequency. Logistic regression analysis showed that sepsis (attributable risk 8.513,95% CI 1.896-41.493), advanced renal failure (due to risk 12.567,95% confidence interval 1.598-109.531), and diffuse peritonitis (attributable risk 14.367,95% confidence interval 1.457-118.154) is affecting a major factor in mortality rates during hospitalization. Conclusion In patients with systemic deterioration of the situation before making an early diagnosis is an important factor in reducing mortality in patients with advanced renal failure is especially important.
