Methods: Adult female SD rats were fed a daily nonylphenol (50,100,200 mg * kg-1), positive control group fed a daily B Di phenol (0.2 mg * kg-1), negative control group tube feeding peanut oil. Observation of sexual cycle by vaginal smear changes, 28 d after the rats were killed, was measured by radioimmunoassay of serum estrogen and luteinizing hormone concentrations, and make the pituitary, uterus, ovary, histopathological examination and immunohistochemical detection of uterine estrogen receptor (ER) expression. Results: nonylphenol dose ≥ 100 mg * kg-1 can of rat persistent estrus, serum estrogen, luteinizing hormone levels decrease (P amp;lt;0.05), ovarian tissue follicle pathology biopsy showed reduction in the number (P amp;lt;0.05 ), no significant difference in expression of uterine ER. Conclusion: nonylphenol at a higher concentration inhibit reproductive function in female rats.
