Methods using immunohistochemical SP method detected 70 cases of papillary thyroid cancer and 20 cases of nodular goiter in osteopontin expression. The results of osteopontin in papillary thyroid cancer and nodular goiter in the positive expression rate of 72.86%, 10.00%, positive expression rate of the two significantly different (P lt;0.05), with lymph node metastasis and without lymph node metastasis in papillary thyroid carcinoma in osteopontin protein expression rates were 86.11%, 58.82%, the difference between the significant difference (P lt;0.05) Conclusion of osteopontin in papillary thyroid carcinoma for overexpression, and lymph node metastasis related. The correlation between the expression of OPN and clinic pathologic feature of PTC is analyzed. Methods The expression of OPN in 70 specimens of PTC and 20 specimens of nodular goiter were investigated by SP immunohisochemistry. Result Positive rate of OPN was significantly higher in PTC than nodular goiter (72.86% vs.10%, P lt;0.05); The rate of OPN was significantly higher in PTC with lymph node metastasis than in PTC without lymph node metastasis (86.11% vs.58.82%, P lt;0.05).
