 PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 10 Oil field workers in a non-alcoholic fatty liver disease Prevalence of metabolic syndrome Study: Community Li Li, Zhang Yongli, Cui Wei, Bing-silver [Abstract] Objective To explore an oil field workers of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in patients with metabolic syndrome (MS) and its relationship with the prevalence of obesity, dyslipidemia, diabetes mellitus. Methods to participate in physical examination of 743 workers (21 ~ 77 years), height, weight parallel lipids, glucose, liver and kidney function and other biochemical tests, abdominal B extra fine at the same time check on NAFLD and non-merger merger MS MS compared between groups. Results 743 participants from the medical examination workers in the detection NAFLD 221 cases, 29.7% detection rate, higher than the general population; 221 NAFLD meet the metabolic syndrome in 92 cases, the detection rate was 41.6%; non-fatty liver group 522 in line with metabolic syndrome 51 cases, the detection rate of 9.8%, the difference was statistically significant (P lt;0.01); combination of non-alcoholic fatty liver and hyperlipidemia, hypertension, diabetes, obesity and metabolic syndrome were 30.32 %, 34.39%, 17.19%, 18.55%, 41.6%; combination of non-fatty liver and hyperlipidemia, hypertension, diabetes, obesity and metabolic syndrome were 14.18% and 14.37%, 4.59%, 4.02% 9.8%, the difference was statistically significant (P lt;0.01); obesity, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, hypertension and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease with metabolic syndrome are closely related. Conclusion of nonalcoholic fatty oil workers liver disease is higher than the general population; non-alcoholic fatty liver with metabolic syndrome were significantly higher than that of non-fatty liver; non-alcoholic fatty liver with metabolic syndrome group, the glucose metabolism is more evident.
