Method: February 2003 ~ March 2005 in our hospital angiography confirmed the LAD consecutive 94 cases of patients with single vessel disease, a total of 107 lesions, according to conventional percutaneous coronary angioplasty and stent implantation, clinical analysis, X ray imaging characteristics and surgical success rate, a parallel follow-up. Results: 94 patients, 29 patients implanted PES, 65 Li implanted bare-metal stents (BMS), surgical success rate was 100%. Diffuse lesions in 30 cases (31.9%), located proximal in 52 cases (55.3%), middle 12 cases (12.8%). All patients were completed after 6 months of follow-up angiography in parallel. PES group at 6 months after angiography in 2 cases (6.9%) restenosis; BMS group 1 cases of 1 month internal acute anterior myocardial infarction death, 6 months, angiography in 21 cases (32.3%) had restenosis . Conclusions: PES into a safe and effective treatment of coronary artery LAD disease, postoperative sudden cardiac death and non-Q-wave myocardial infarction incidence similar to BMS implantation, in-stent restenosis were significantly reduced, due to the need of coronary restenosis bypass rate decreased significantly after 6 months restenosis rate reported in the literature similar to coronary artery bypass grafting.
