Methods 220 patients over 65 years old to investigate the prevalence of periodontal disease. Results in 220 patients subjects patients, 206 patients suffering from gum recession, dental calculus in 89 cases, 66 cases of bleeding gums, shallow periodontal pockets in 45 cases, 21 cases of deep periodontal pockets, with an average of 1.94 kinds of suffering from oral disease. where the prevalence of gingival recession the highest, 93.64%, while the lowest prevalence of periodontal pocket depth, 9.55%, the prevalence of various periodontal disease were significantly different (2 = 192.362, P lt;0.01); elderly hypertension group gingival bleeding and diabetes, gingival bleeding rate than non-elderly group with high (P lt;0.01). Conclusion periodontal disease in the elderly common disease, the elderly are facing a major public health problem; aged gingival bleeding prevalence of diabetes and hypertension closely related.
