 PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 12 Posterior decompression and fusion spinal fixation for degenerative lumbar scoliosis [Abstract] Objective To analyze the clinical degenerative scoliosis with posterior decompression and interbody fusion characteristics and pedicle screw fixation, the clinical results. Methods in our hospital from December 2004 to December 2007 admitted 20 patients with symptomatic degenerative lumbar scoliosis clinical data of patients, 4 cases of posterior decompression alone, 14 cases with posterior decompression and pedicle screw fixation and intertransverse bone graft or interbody fusion surgery, 2 cases of posterior decompression of vertebral between fusion and pedicle screw fixation. Results All cases were followed up for more than six months, fusion, internal fixation without loosening, fracture. preoperative symptoms after surgery are mostly gone, intermittent claudication did not arise again, only 1 left symptoms of mild low back pain, the cure rate was 95%. Conclusion posterior spinal decompression and internal fixation surgery in the treatment of lumbar degenerative disease with good results, is a surgical treatment should be promoted.
