PPAR in extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma and its significance

PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 10 PPAR in extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma and its significance Study: Lv Haitao Liu Bing Wang Wenbin Wang Anfeng Abstract Objective To observe the PPAR mRNA and protein in extrahepatic bile duct tissue, and its association with clinicopathologic features of extrahepatic bile duct cancer between. Methods RT PCR and Western blot PPAR mRNA and protein in 30 cases of extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma expression. RT PCR assay results showed that the extrahepatic bile duct tissue, lymph node metastasis and without lymph node metastasis the expression of PPAR mRNA were 0.47 + -0.06 and 0.24 + -0.07, the difference was statistically significant (P lt;0.01); poorly differentiated group and the high grade group of PPAR mRNA expression was 0.3 + -0.19 and 0.17 + -0.01, the difference was not statistically significant (Pgt; 0.05); , and of extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma of the expression of PPAR mRNA were 0.63 + -0.35 and 0.63 + -0.28, the difference was not statistically significant (Pgt; 0.05). Western blot showed extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, lymph node metastasis and without lymph node metastasis PPAR protein levels were 2.0 + -0.44 and 0.93 + -0.21, the difference was statistically significant (P lt;0.01); poorly differentiated group and high grade group, PPAR protein expression was 0.87 + -0.23 and 0.96 + -0.15, the difference was not statistically significant (Pgt; 0.05). Stage , and period, PPAR protein expression was 2.45 + -0.54 and 1.95 + -0.24, the difference was not significant (Pgt; 0.05). Conclusion PPAR may be the occurrence of extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma and development play a catalytic role. Keywords: PPAR; extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma; reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction; Western blot Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors (PPARs) are a class of ligand activated nuclear transcription factor involved in the regulation of lipid metabolism and glucose metabolism, fat cell differentiation a
