Methods: 21 patients with 22 acute angle-closure glaucoma in patients with persistent ocular hypertension, preoperative, intraoperative using various methods of decreasing intraocular pressure was conducted after the trabeculectomy. Results: After 6 ~ 12mo, 22 eyes of 17 patients without anti-glaucoma drug, IOP can be controlled in the 21mmHg (1mmHg = 0.133kPa) below, 4 eyes with intraocular pressure lowering drugs with controlled IOP and normal; 19 vision improved, no serious complications. Conclusion: For the application of drug therapy can not effectively control the intraocular pressure in glaucoma patients, should act decisively to surgery. As long as improving preoperative preparation, intraoperative careful operation, postoperative intensive care, high intraocular pressure following trabeculectomy is necessary, safe and effective.
