English literature, especially English fiction, is of great significance in the literary world. 英国文学，尤其是英国小说，在文学界是很重要的。 【分析】本句中的of great significance是of+抽象名词，相当于形容词significant，在句中作表语。of＋抽象名词，可表示事物的性质或特征，相当于该抽象名词的形容词，在句中可以作表语、定语、宾语补足语等。;①This dictionary is of great help． 这本词典是很有帮助的。 ②We all think his words are of great importance． 我们都认为他的话非常重要。 ③It’s an invention of great importance. 这是一项非常重要的发明。;【名师点津】of＋抽象名词结构中的常用抽象名词： (1)value，use，importance，significance，help，interest，benefit等。这类名词前可用no，some，any，little，much，great等词修饰。 (2)size，price，age，shape，length，depth，color，weight，width，height，quality，opinion等。这类抽象名词前可用a，an，the，same，different，good等修饰。 ;④The experience gained will be of great value to us. 取得的经验将对我们很有价值。 ⑤These flags are of different colors． 这些旗帜颜色不同。;【真题在线】(2009·辽宁高考)Children need friends _______ their own age to play with.
