[Method] in January 1995 ~ March 2006 of 126 patients with displaced acetabular fractures had open reduction and internal fixation, in which 61 patients with simple fractures, complex fractures of 65 cases; old fracture in 14 cases, 112 cases of fresh fractures . According to the complexity of the fracture, first of all deal with free intra-articular bone, the weight-bearing area of articular cartilage under compression fracture or fracture reduction flip, and then with correction of equipment or methods, or before and after fracture rotation (internal and external) shift, a final settlement shift separation reset to be used after reconstruction plate fixation. [Results] No deaths in this group, 78 cases of postoperative anatomic reduction, satisfactory reduction of 42 cases, the unsatisfactory reduction in 6 cases. Follow-up 1 to 12 years, the rate of hip joint function was excellent 90.47%. [Conclusion] The different acetabular fractures open reduction should take a different strategy, their choice determined by the type of acetabular fracture, shift the direction of their corresponding surgical approach.
