Onesuchqualitycharacteristic islifetimeofitems.Thespeci?cations aredetermined throughthe lower speci?cation limit L,the upper speci?cation limit U,and the target value T.Maiti et al.2010have proposed ageneralized process capability index that istheratio ofproportion of speci?cation conformance toproportionofdesiredconformance. Bayesianestimation oftheindex has been considered under squared error loss function. Normal, exponential nonnormal , and Poissondiscreteprocesseshavebeentakenintoaccount.Bayesestimates oftheindexhavebeen comparedwiththefrequentistcounterparts.
