In thispaper, wepresentaframeworkforend-to-end interoperabilityin homeandbuildingareanetworkswithinsmartgrids.6LoWPANandthecompactapplicationprotocolareutilizedtofacilitate theuseofIPv6andZigbeeapplicationpro?lessuchasZigbeesmartenergyfornetworkandapplicationlayerinteroperability, respectively.
