Methodology/PrincipalFindings:BordercontrolandcommunitycontainmentmeasuresimplementedfromApriltoJune (PeriodI:April28–May21,PeriodII:May22–June18)2009weredescribed.Numberofindividualsidentifiedanddisease characteristicswereanalyzed.Forentryscreening,ahealthdeclarationformandaninfraredthermoscannerwereusedto detectsymptomaticpassengers.PassengersindicatedfortherapidinfluenzatestunderwentthetestfollowedbyRT-PCR. Patients positive for H1N1 were isolated, and close contacts were quarantined. Entry cards were handed out to all asymptomaticpassengersinformingthemabouthowtocontactahealthcenterincasetheydevelopedsymptoms.Nine individualswereidentifiedbyentryscreeningand1duringquarantinetohavePandemic(H1N1)2009.Healthmonitoring byhealthcenterswasperformedinperiodIforpassengersarrivingfromaffectedcountriesandinperiodIIforthosewho hadcomeintocontactwiththeindividualsidentifiedbyentryscreening.Healthmonitoringidentified3infectedindividuals among129,546inPeriodIand5among746inPeriodII.Enhancedsurveillance,whichincludedmandatoryreportingof details of the infected individuals, identified 812 individua
