Embryos without zygotic alg-1/2 predominantlyarrestduringthemorphogeneticprocess ofelongationwithdefectsintheepidermal-muscle attachment structures. Altogether our results highlight similarities and specificities of the alg-1/2 likely to be explained at different cellularandmolecularlevels.
