Methodology/Principal Findings:351peoplewithdementialivinginresidentialcarefacilities,andtheirstaffandfamily informantsparticipatedinthiscrosssectionalobservationalstudy.Qualityoflifewasmeasuredusingself(QualityofLifein Alzheimer’sDisease[QoL-AD]scale),andinformant(QoL-ADandAlzheimer’sDiseaseRelatedQoLScale)reports.226people (64%)withdementia(medianMMSE17;12–21)wereabletoselfratetheQoL-ADscaleandthesesubjects’ratingswere comparedtoratingsbystaffandfamily.BothstaffandfamilyinformantratingsoftheQoL-ADunderestimatedselfratings (meandifference27.8,95%CI28.8,26.7forstaffratedQoL-AD;andmeandifference27.2,95%CI28.5,26.0forfamily ratedQoL-AD).SelfratingsofQoLwereloweramongpeoplewhowererestrained,hadfallenorhadpain.Informantra
