Departure from normality has negativeeffectontestingpowerandinferenceforQTLidentification.Inthiswork,werelaxthenormalityassumptionand proposearobustmultivariatet-distributionmappingframeworkforQTLidentificationinfunctionalmapping.Simulation studiesshowincreasedmappingpowerandprecisionwiththetdistributionthanthatofanormaldistribution.Theutilityof themethodisdemonstratedthrougharealdataanalysis.
