Methodology/PrincipalFindings:Weanalyzedthedistributionpatternsof31commontreespeciesinanareaofmorethan 700,000km2 spanning the borders of Cameroon, the Central African Republic, and the Republic of Congo using forest inventorydatafrom56,4450.5-haplots.Spatialvariationofenvironmental(climate,topographyandgeology)andhistorical factors (human disturbance) were quantified from maps and satellite records.
